COVID Community Support Project
Pillar Financial Group partnered with Sushi Kashiba and Junebaby to purchase and deliver 140 meals to healthcare workers at Seattle Cancer Care Alliance. These meals were a gesture of our thanks for all that SCCA does for our community and families. On behalf of our entire Pillar team, and our family members who SCCA has personally cared for (Anisa Ishida, Carol Young Anderson, and Linden Griffith), we appreciate their selfless service during this difficult time.

Seattle Brain Cancer Walk
The Seattle Brain Cancer Walk is a national fundraising event to raise awareness about brain cancer and fund brain cancer research and clinical trials in the Pacific Northwest. It is a one-mile symbolic walk throughout the grounds of Seattle Center and is open to participants of all fitness levels.
Founded in 2008 by a group of committed volunteers and families, the Seattle Brain Cancer Walk has raised more than $5 million for brain cancer research and clinical trials in the Pacific Northwest. Walk proceeds go directly to brain cancer research at the Ben and Catherine Ivy Center for Advanced Brain Tumor Treatment at Swedish.
The Goodtimes Project
Edgewood resident and cancer survivor Hanna Safley is continuing to pursue her dream of a college degree thanks to Northwestern Mutual’s 2022 Childhood Cancer Scholarship Program. As part of the program, Hanna received a $10,000 scholarship grant.
The Goodtimes Project is a 501(c)3 non-profit dedicated to raising money for and producing programs that support the children, siblings, and families in Washington and Alaska dealing with pediatric cancer. It was formed in late 2013 to carry on the 30-year legacy of Camp Goodtimes, and to ensure no-cost programming remained available to local families dealing with the financial and emotional costs of childhood cancer. They believe that until there is a cure, there is camp.
East King County Estate Planning Council
Founded in 1971, the East King County Estate Planning Council (EKCEPC) is a network of premier estate planning professionals, including CPAs, CFPs, CFAs, trust officers, and more. The goal of the Council is to promote interdisciplinary continuing education and networking among estate planning practitioners from various professions.
