John Kip O’Kelley has been an actuary and retirement plan consultant for more than 40 years. He has in-depth knowledge of all types of qualified plans, both as a third-party administrator and investment professional, working with clients ranging from sole-proprietors to large, multi-national corporations.
Kyle Trautmann came to Northwestern Mutual in 2021 to run the Pillar Financial Group retirement plan division. With more than 12 years in the retirement plan industry for a recordkeeper, Kyle brings a deep understanding of both Qualified and Non-Qualified Plans to Pillar, offering the same level of knowledge and service on the corporate side that Pillar Financial Group provides on the individual wealth side.
After growing up in the Northwest Kyle ventured down to Southern California for school, attending Azusa Pacific University before moving back up to be near his rapidly expanding family. Kyle and Tessa keep busy shuttling their three children around to various events, but they still make time to escape for a little travel, wine tasting, and Kyle’s weekly soccer match.
Rolf has extensive experience in the design and administration of Qualified and Non-Qualified Retirement Plans. He brought this expertise to Pillar Financial Group in 2021 to build their Retirement Practice. His focus is helping clients structure their Plans to effectively meet their goals and objectives.
Previously, Rolf worked as a Consulting Actuary running his own private business of 30 employees and 350 clients here in the Pacific Northwest. Rolf received a BS in Math from Pacific Lutheran University in 1976 and a MS in Math from the University of Washington in 1978 and has worked in the actuarial profession ever since. He is married to his high school sweetheart, Bonnie, and has a family of four that has now brought the Trautmann clan to 19. When he’s not spending time with his kids and grandkids, he enjoys travel, tennis, biking and golfing.
Drew joined Northwestern Mutual in 2018 and enjoys helping clients enjoy today while planning for tomorrow. Drew is passionate about working with individuals and couples to develop a personalized financial plan that outlines their goals and optimizes for success. Drew received his MBA from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a specialization in Business Analytics. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and friends, getting outside with his dogs, and playing golf.
Ericka Skeldon came to Northwestern Mutual in 2018. She graduated from the University of Colorado-Boulder with a degree in Math. As a former teacher, Ericka is passionate about providing retirement education and quality advisory services to all employees. When she’s not helping clients, Ericka enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters.
Marla Freeman joined the Northwestern Mutual family in 2013. Since then Marla has become a cornerstone of our team, truly an administrative assistant extraordinaire! Servicing accounts, calendaring, plan reporting, and compliance filing are just a few of her many roles.
